The solar park, now under construction, is projected to reach 150 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity and 320 MWh of battery energy storage. Located in the heart of the Andes Mountains at an altitude of 4,100 meters, Mariana stands as the world’s largest and highest solar PV plus BESS project of its kind, situated in one of the most remote and demanding environments on the planet.
The Photovoltaic Storage and Power Generation Project is located in the Andean region of the Marianas in the province of Salta, northwest Argentina, adjacent to the Llullaillaco salt flat.
